Strategic Plan 2026 is guiding KDG’s direction not only in client-facing roles, but also in the systems and support structures that shape every client interaction. While some teams engage directly with clients daily, others operate behind the scenes, ensuring that processes are seamless, communication is clear, and nothing falls through the cracks.
As part of KDG’s Strategic Plan 2026 leadership interview series, we spoke with Veronica Race, Operations Manager, about how the Triple Fit Strategy is influencing her team’s approach and how operational excellence contributes to stronger, more consistent client experiences.
Supporting the Client Experience from Behind the Scenes
Operations may not always be visible to clients, but its impact is felt at every stage of engagement.
Veronica goes on to explain: “While my team operates mainly behind the scenes and isn’t typically client facing, Strategic Plan 2026 has allowed me to recognize the unique value we can bring to the wider organization. By supporting our colleagues who engage directly with clients, we play a vital role in enhancing the overall client experience.”
Strategic Plan 2026 reinforced that Operations is not simply an internal function. It is a strategic partner to every department at KDG. When internal systems are predictable and aligned, client-facing teams can focus fully on delivering value.
“This involves stepping beyond our usual remit, gaining a deeper understanding of the work happening across teams, and proactively offering our expertise to streamline processes and solve challenges. In doing so, we help ensure that every interaction clients have with KDG is as positive and seamless as possible, even if our influence is felt more than seen.”
Veronica Race, Operations Manager at KDG, explains how Strategic Plan 2026 is elevating Operations from a behind-the-scenes function to a strategic driver of the client experience. Through the Triple Fit Strategy, Veronica emphasizes a broader, systems-level perspective that connects internal processes—such as onboarding, invoicing, and milestone recognition—to the overall client journey. By proactively collaborating across departments, rigorously validating processes through both client and internal lenses, and introducing more intentional, personalized touchpoints, her team ensures that operational excellence translates into seamless, human-centered partnerships. The result is greater accountability, stronger cross-functional alignment, and a more consistent, thoughtful experience that reinforces long-term value for both clients and KDG.
Planning Through a Broader Lens
Viewed through the Triple Fit Strategy, Veronica’s team is expanding its perspective beyond individual tasks to understand how processes intersect across the organization.
“We are committed to gaining a deeper understanding of the processes that intersect with our team’s responsibilities. This means looking beyond our immediate tasks to explore where these processes originate, who is involved, and what occurs before they reach our desk. By taking a holistic view, we encourage our team to consider the entire journey and ask, ‘How can we make this more efficient?’ With this perspective, we collaborate internally to enhance processes that directly impact client engagements, including client onboarding, invoicing, and celebrating milestones such as project anniversaries. By driving improvements behind the scenes, we reinforce the moments and methods by which we support our clients, ensuring a positive and seamless experience throughout.”
This holistic view aligns directly with the spirit of Triple Fit. Operations is not focused solely on internal efficiency. It is focused on strengthening the entire journey clients experience, from onboarding to invoicing to the milestones that mark progress along the way. This broader lens approach ensures that systems evolve alongside strategy.
Redefining What Clients Experience
One specific change coming out of Strategic Plan 2026 reflects how Operations influences even the smallest touchpoints, such as sending gifts to clients upon onboarding or reaching other milestones in their projects.
“We are reimagining our approach to client gifting because we recognize that celebrating the people involved is just as important—if not more so—than marking project milestones or the work itself. Our aim is to honor the human connections that make our partnerships truly meaningful. By placing the spotlight on the individuals who interact with us day in and day out, we want each gift to spark a genuine sense of appreciation, making our clients and their teams feel valued not simply as business partners, but as an extension of KDG. It’s about creating those ‘warm and fuzzy’ moments that remind everyone we’re in this together, and that every person matters.”
These moments may seem small, but they shape perception. When operational details are handled thoughtfully, they reinforce partnership in tangible ways. It’s another way KDG is pushing the effort of ensuring clients feel heard and understood, even on a personal level, and speaks to the value of We Honor And Respect Everyone We Work With.
“We might wear different hats—HR, Finance, Leadership Support, and Operations—but it’s our shared spirit of collaboration that truly keeps the wheels turning. Together, we’re not just supporting the business, we’re constantly finding ways to make the employee and client experience better, one creative solution at a time!“

Practicing Accountability Through Dual Perspective
Strategic Plan 2026 emphasized role-play, modeled behaviors, and accountability. For Operations, that translates into a rigorous approach to process validation.
“We are committed to thoroughly vetting every new process we develop by stepping through it from both the client’s perspective and our own. While ideas may appear sound on paper, it’s essential that we walk through the process in practice, experiencing it as our clients would and as KDG team members do. This dual lens allows us to identify opportunities for improvement and ensures that feedback from all stakeholders is consistently gathered and acted upon.”
This broader perspective ensures that processes are not only efficient internally, but intuitive and positive for clients as well. It reinforces the idea that operational excellence should showcase clarity, consistency, and shared success.
“By marrying the needs and expectations of our clients with the operational realities of our team, we strive to create processes that genuinely work well for everyone involved, leading to greater operational efficiency and more positive outcomes for both sides.”
A Personal Touch That Strengthens Partnership
Veronica shared a recent example that highlights how operational awareness can strengthen client relationships in meaningful ways:
“During a recent engagement, a client shared news of their 10-year wedding anniversary. The Project Manager relayed this wonderful milestone to our team, prompting us to send a congratulatory gift. The client was genuinely delighted, remarking on how much it meant that we not only noticed their special occasion but also took the time to celebrate it with them. This gesture distinguishes us from other partners, bringing a personal touch to our professional relationships. Our aim moving into 2026 is to continue creating these memorable moments, ensuring every client feels valued and recognized—not just for their business, but for the life and stories they bring with them.”
This example reflects the human side of KDG and every partnership they undertake. Reinforcing the relationship with clients in small but meaningful ways allows for not just trust-building but makes ongoing success possible.
Looking Ahead
As Triple Fit becomes more deeply embedded across KDG, Operations will continue refining the processes that support every team and every client interaction. Through empathy, accountability, and intention, Veronica’s team ensures that KDG’s partnerships feel consistent, thoughtful, and well-supported from start to finish.
Strategic Plan 2026 represents another step in KDG’s climb. Behind the scenes, Operations is helping lay the foundation that makes every move forward more stable, more intentional, and more aligned with long-term success.
